2026 Spring
Conscious Investing

In recent years, the proportion of household savings and investments has been steadily increasing, and many people continue to plan to set money aside. At the same time, the available channels and opportunities are also expanding. At Raiffeisen Bank, a recurring investment option available directly through the mobile application since February makes the process convenient and easy to plan.
Just as the ideal level of investment changes over time, the administration related to investments has also developed significantly. Through the mobile application, users can conveniently open a securities account and start a Recurring Investment after answering a few questions related to investing.
One of the greatest advantages of recurring investment is that everyone can choose an investment fund that fits their risk tolerance and investment horizon. In the application, Raiffeisen Bank offers three different Solution Funds, all of which can be accessed flexibly.
Luxury Above the Clouds

One of the most defining elements of Vienna’s modern skyline is the DC Tower 1, which, with its impressive height, is the tallest skyscraper in Vienna. Rising in the Danube City district along the banks of the Danube River, the striking tower houses an exclusive hotel on its upper floors, literally taking the concept of luxury hotels in Vienna to a whole new level.
The 250-meter tower is already impressive in itself, but the real experience begins when guests look out over the city from rooms and suites located on the upper floors.
The hotel’s interior blends modern elegance with clean, minimalist design.
Being situated on the higher floors offers not only spectacular views but also remarkable quiet. The noise of the city almost completely disappears, allowing guests to truly disconnect from everyday life.
The restaurant operating on the tower’s upper levels—one of the highest-located restaurants in Europe—offers not only a culinary experience but a visual one as well.
From Porto to Lisbon

There are trips that promise something special already in the planning phase, and then there are those that ultimately exceed every expectation. Our family journey to Portugal clearly belonged to the latter. Together with my wife, Ancsa, and our two sons, Dávid and Olivér, we set off on our adventure, and from the very first moment we felt it: Portugal is not just a destination, but a mood, a way of life. This country knows exactly how to find its way into your heart.
Six days, two cities, sunshine throughout, countless shared experiences, delicious food, shopping, long walks, and lots of laughter – it truly became a perfect family getaway.
This trip to Portugal was not merely about sightseeing, but about sharing moments and collecting family memories. Good vibes, beautiful weather, fantastic places, wonderful food, and that simple yet precious feeling of being together – this is what made it truly special.
Porto is romantic, Lisbon is vibrant, and Sintra is pure magic.
Caribbean Joy of Life

Dr. István Tóth and his wife Hajnalka Tóth recently explored the destinations of Trinidad and Tobago.
On Trinidad, they toured the capital, Port of Spain, visiting all the major sights, the most beautiful government buildings, and the vast park where the famous carnival parades take place. They also visited the renowned Maracas Bay.
In the afternoon, an even more exciting program awaited them: the Caroni Bird Sanctuary nature park and bird reserve. In the quiet afternoon lagoon, from large motorboats, they could watch as pink flamingos began gathering for their nightly rest, while the island’s symbolic birds—the bright red Scarlet Ibis—returned to the branches of the deep green mangrove trees.
The following day, they took a domestic flight to nearby Tobago. After a half-hour taxi ride, they reached Scarborough, where their hotel was located in a peaceful seaside bay, offering a wonderful view of the ocean.
TULIP TREE GUESTHOUSE

Long ago, in the 1980s, during their service abroad, Dr. Hajnalka Komlósi and Dr. István Tóth decided that they would establish and operate high-standard retirement homes in Hungary.
Their first home began operating in Érd in December 1992. After that, events progressed smoothly, followed by the creation of the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh homes. The strength of the challenge and their commitment brought results one after another.
Today, the dream of the founding owners—and the promise they made nearly forty years ago—to build and establish ten Napfény Homes is close to being fulfilled, as they are now at the ninth.
The eighth Napfény Home is in fact a premium-category guesthouse, something like a dream hotel, created in the form of a purpose-designed villa.

You Have to Stay Open!
Boglárka László is the Sales and Marketing Manager of the TRIBE Budapest Airport in Budapest. For her, the world of hospitality is a true passion. Today, she is one of the key figures behind the Hungarian introduction of an international lifestyle brand, and she believes that the secret to success is openness—both professionally and personally.
Her connection to hospitality began during her college years. After completing her internship, she joined the Accor Group in 2004, this time in a full-time position.
After spending five years working in hotels, she continued her career in Accor’s central sales division, where she built the corporate client portfolio for the chain’s hotels in Hungary, Slovakia, and Bulgaria. She negotiated within the three- to five-star segments, secured events, and built long-term professional relationships.
The next major chapter in her career became the TRIBE Budapest Airport, which opened next to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport and belongs to Accor’s young, lifestyle-oriented TRIBE Hotels brand.

The Jewel and World of the Head
There is something special about the moment when a woman places a headpiece on her head. A small gesture, yet it instantly transforms posture, gaze, and the entire aura. This is the magic sought and created in the works of Hajnalka Tórizs, a defining figure in Hungarian head couture.
Behind the brand stands a creator for whom a headpiece is not merely a fashion accessory, but a kind of modern crown. Hajnalka’s pieces give the wearer a sense of being special, elegant, and confident.
Her works are made as one-of-a-kind pieces, crafted with meticulous handwork. Lace, feathers, beads, unique textiles, and vintage elements come together in each creation. She often uses reimagined, old materials, giving them a new story within a modern composition.

Mittersisters
Anna Róza Mitter, founder and owner, established this brand in 2015. She has always believed that objects carry stories within them. As a designer, she sought ways to bring people closer to the process of creation, so that they would not only be users of objects, but also, in part, their creators—of the things they wear or carry with them.
The goal is to experience the joy of creation in an inspiring, creative environment.
Those who take part in such a program leave with a unique object they have made themselves—something that is personally connected to them.
Some people are drawn to longer creative processes, while others prefer quicker, more spontaneous activities. Guests can choose from programs ranging from one and a half hours to full-day experiences.
Over the past 11 years, they have welcomed nearly 35,000 participants, indicating they are on the right path. In the future, they aim to bring this concept to a wider audience, even internationally, potentially through a franchise model.

A Spectacular New Year’s Eve
This year’s New Year’s Eve in Keszthely bid farewell to the old year in style: within the walls of Hotel Helikon, a grand celebration took place that guests will be talking about for a long time. The hotel on the shores of Lake Balaton once again proved that it can provide unforgettable experiences not only during the summer season but also on the final evening of the year.
Under the leadership of hotel director András Csere, the New Year’s Eve gala was held before a full house. With its elegance and rich program lineup, the event grew into a true social occasion.
From the very moment of arrival, it was clear that a special evening awaited everyone: festively decorated spaces, guests welcomed with champagne, and a pleasant sense of anticipation filled the lobby.
One of the highlights of the evening was the performance by the star guest, Zoltán Bereczki. During his songs, the audience sang along with him, and the guests received a truly heartfelt and memorable experience.

Lili’s Smile
It is a great joy and honor for me that I have already had the opportunity to appear several times in this high-quality magazine. Now, with even greater enthusiasm and gratitude, I am happy to share the news that my own column, “Lili’s Smile,” is being launched.
In this column, I would like to offer readers an insight into the world of orthodontics. I will present the process of orthodontic treatments and show how a new smile is created.
I believe that every smile is special and unique, just like the person behind it. I am grateful that in my work my patients place their trust in me, allowing me to be part of the journey that leads them to a more confident and liberated smile.
According to my philosophy, orthodontics is not merely about aesthetic change. As a smile transforms, an inner transformation often takes place as well—bringing more confidence, openness, and joy into people’s lives, as shared by Lilián Nochta.

Hotel Abacus

The Abacus Business & Wellness Hotel**** Superior is located 25 km from Budapest, in Herceghalom. The hotel’s inspiring atmosphere, innovative environment and uncompromising gastronomical philosophy makes it the ideal place for family vacations, wellness weekends, conferences, business meetings and even weddings. The chef, Janos Kovacs, whose resume boasts with extensive foreign experience, uses simple, local and seasonal ingredients from Zsambek’s basin in his dishes. The majority of the spices he uses are grown in the kitchen’s own garden. Their dishes draw on both international sensibilities as well as the traditional Hungarian sense of taste; all while using modern culinary technology. The combination of gastronomical pleasures with a peaceful, familiar atmosphere and modern environment translate into more than half the guests being regulars. Their success was further confirmed when Abacus Business & Wellness Hotel won the title of Best Rural Business and Conference Hotel in Hungary.

Vegetables Over the Embers
The world of barbecue has long been about more than just meat. Vegetables cooked over glowing embers gain a smoky aroma, a caramelized surface, and a natural sweetness that add a whole new dimension to the grilling experience. Asparagus and artichokes are particularly rewarding ingredients: bold yet elegant, and exceptionally responsive to barbecue techniques.
Asparagus is one of the easiest vegetables to grill. Thicker spears soften quickly while still retaining their pleasant crunch. For the best results, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and freshly ground black pepper before grilling.
Artichokes require a bit more preparation, but their presence on the grill is well worth the effort. The smoky character of grilled artichokes truly shines when they are brushed with olive oil, garlic, and rosemary, then cooked over direct heat.
Spring Awakening

The end of winter has arrived once again, bringing with it the season of renewal in nature – spring is here. At this time, the human body also rejuvenates, and the winter vitamin deficit can easily be replenished with the fresh produce now available in stores. This time, we turn our attention to two – perhaps special – spring vegetables: the spotlight is on artichokes and asparagus.
According to available data, the artichoke originates from North Africa and is especially popular in Mediterranean regions. However, it is becoming increasingly well-known in Hungary as well. And just to be clear – despite its name, it’s not a flying animal, but a vegetable. And not just any vegetable!
After the winter months, the first fresh outdoor vegetable of the season is the intriguingly named asparagus. Many believe it got its name because of its long, slender shape, and in this case, the theory isn’t far off. Asparagus is native to both Asia and Europe, and it was already known to the ancient Egyptians, who cultivated it as a sacred plant.
The Strongest Animals in the World

Talking about the strongest animals in the world may seem straightforward at first, but the concept of “strength” in nature can be interpreted in many ways. It’s not only about which creature can lift the heaviest weight, but also about how much it can accomplish relative to its own body size. Nature has developed an extraordinary variety of solutions, so from tiny insects to massive ocean giants, many animals can claim the title of “strongest.”
When it comes to strength relative to body weight, the dung beetle clearly takes the lead.
Among larger animals, the gorilla is considered one of the strongest land mammals.
In terms of absolute strength, the African elephant is virtually unmatched.
However, strength is not only measured by lifting power. For example, the saltwater crocodile has the most powerful bite in the animal kingdom.
Finally, we must not forget the blue whale, the largest animal in the history of the Earth.
A Bouquet of Premiere Films

Spring has finally burst in, and with it—just like every year—comes a flood of film premieres.
Thanks to UIP-Dunafilm, Top Gun is finally back in theaters, along with the next installment of the highly successful Scary Movie franchise.
From InterCom, audiences can enjoy selections like The Evil Dead and The Mummy, while fans of animated films can look forward to Goat – Will the Champion.
The distributor ADS is bringing a wide range of films to Hungary, including Hanna Bergholm’s second feature film, Nightborn, as well as Grumpy Love. In addition, a large-scale animated film titled David has also been produced.
In Fórum Hungary’s lineup, the long-awaited Scream 7 has arrived. Alongside it come Charlie the Wonder Dog and the fifth installment of Toy Story.
Cinetel’s big hit is expected to be the thriller Private Affair, starring world-renowned actress Jodie Foster, as well as Sunny Dancer.
The Modern Ball Etiquette

A ball is not merely a social event, but a cultural setting with its own system of rules, where attire, behavior, and social interaction together create the evening’s distinctive atmosphere. Ball etiquette is not an abstract collection of manners; rather, it is a practical guide that helps one navigate the event with confidence, propriety, and ease, while remaining elegant and open to forming connections.
Today, ball etiquette blends tradition with adaptation to contemporary expectations. While formality has become more relaxed, the fundamental principles remain unchanged—namely, that attending a ball represents a conscious step away from everyday life.
For ladies, the appropriate dress code is a classic evening gown or an elegant cocktail dress. For gentlemen—especially at prestigious balls—the prescribed attire is a tuxedo or tailcoat; however, even at a traditional ball, the minimum expectation is a dark suit.

ZEMA
Commissioned for the occasion, ZEMA created a unique and exclusive collection to express the United Nations’ respect for and attitude toward women.
This collection serves as a symbolic tool that draws attention to the fragility of women—represented by porcelain as its primary material; their purity—reflected in the natural white base color of porcelain; and their sensitive spirit—expressed through soft colors and the delicate nature of flowers. It also incorporates symbolic details that represent the core ideas and values of the United Nations.
The interconnection of the porcelain pearls, or ZEMA Elements, symbolizes equality and mutual support.
Presented through this timeless artistic concept, the ZEMA collection is more than jewelry—it is an emblematic work of art expressing enduring values.
Social life

Through our society column, we aim to offer our readers an inside look at various high-quality, exclusive events, parties, openings, film, theatre and fashion shows, exhibitions, concerts, and sporting events—at least those we consider truly exceptional.
The list is endless, but all these occasions have one thing in common: quality, elegance, and style. From issue to issue, we strive to report on captivating happenings and programs that spark interest and inspire.
In our spring issue, we were present at the Sportsman of the Year Gala at the Opera House, at the youth sports award ceremony at the Hercules Gala, and at the Just Clear Award ceremony at the Marriott Hotel.
“This is my life.”

With Sándor Tóth, Vice President of BVSC, about the club’s 115-year history and his 60 years spent there.
He has been connected to the club since childhood. He started swimming at the age of six, and the following year he became a registered athlete of BVSC, but soon found his way to water polo. This defined his life, and he later became a national team player with more than a hundred caps.
At that time, the club was a true community, almost like one big family. This experience gave him a vision: when developments began later, he wanted to rebuild that same kind of community.
That is why it was important to him to create community spaces, such as a restaurant, and to improve the facilities. Today, it is clear that it works.
For him, it is a tremendous gift to be able to do what he loves: to create, to develop, and to build a community.
In recognition of this, as part of the 115th anniversary celebrations, he was awarded the Hungarian Gold Cross of Merit.
Rebirths

The Fiat 500 has for decades been synonymous with style, the Italian way of life, and an iconic approach to urban mobility.
Chery’s true strength lies in its diversity—from the compact TIGGO 4, ideal for city adventures, through the confident TIGGO 7, to the flagship TIGGO 8 and TIGGO 9 models that represent the peak of technology.
For more than forty years, the Nissan Micra has been a symbol of style, practicality, and urban freedom. In 2026, however, the legend moves up a level with the arrival of its sixth generation.
The Ford Tourneo Custom serves simultaneously as a comfortable family travel vehicle, a business transfer van, and even a mobile office.
The return of the new Ford Capri opens an exciting new chapter in the brand’s history—the spirit of an iconic sports car returns.
The Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica elevates the brand’s characteristic passion and sportiness to a new level.
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N takes the electric driving experience into a new dimension—it is not merely a means of transport, but a deliberately crafted source of joy.
Oscars 2026

On March 15—this year coinciding with the Hungarian national holiday—the 98th Academy Awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. At Hollywood’s most glamorous event, celebrities once again crowded the spotlight, and there was no shortage of surprises.
The Oscar for Best Actor was awarded to Michael B. Jordan for his performance in the horror film Sinners, in which he plays a pair of twins in a story set in the early 20th century.
The Best Actress award went to Jessie Buckley, who delivered a highly convincing portrayal of Shakespeare’s wife in the historical drama Hamnet.
The award for Best Picture was won by One Battle After Another, and Paul Thomas Anderson also received the Best Director award for the film. On top of that, he was honored for Best Adapted Screenplay as well. The divisive movie ultimately swept up a total of six Oscars.
From Beauty Pageants to the Silver Screen

The history of the film industry is full of artists who didn’t begin their careers on stage or in front of the camera, but in beauty pageants. For them, the runway, the spotlight, media attention, and public exposure served as a gateway to Hollywood or the international film world. The world of beauty contests demanded not only physical beauty but also confidence, communication skills, media presence, and discipline—qualities that later became crucial in their acting careers.
The careers of the ten artists on this list share one important common thread: for them, a beauty pageant was not merely an aesthetic competition, but a starting platform where they learned to move confidently in the public eye, communicate, compete, and stand out.
Many of them have proven that a crown is not an end goal but a compass pointing toward a longer and more profound artistic journey.
