Sweet Provence in Buda
Our story begins in 2012, when Rodolphe Rodet and Stéphane Gerphagnon first met. Their fortunate encounter eventually resulted in the founding of La Praline patisserie. Since both Frenchmen put down roots in Hungary, their goal was to establish a pastry shop based in the classic French method, which is simultaneously authentic, fresh, and modern. Their hard work and high standards have resulted in a shop that has been a proud representative of French gastronomy in Hungary since its inception.
They opened their first store in the Hegyvidék Shopping Center. Since then, they have opened a French macaron kiosk in Allee, as well as a store on the Máriaremete Street in district II.
One of the mangers of the company, Zsolt Dragsits, let us in on some of La Praline's plans for future development: now that they’ve got Buda covered, they have set their sights on Pest. Their success was further confirmed when the Budapest Dining Guide named their cake one of the top 10 in the city.
