Novak? Rafael? Roger?
Novak Djokovics, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are no doubt the world’s best male tennis players today. The question of whether these three players could be ranked has intrigued many – including us! As our title implies, the following few lines examine the tennis stars’ performances, leading us closer to the answer to – „Who’s the best?”
Based on men’s international tennis ranking of 2014 the crown would go to the Serbian Djokovics, however if we take a look at previous lists, we’ll see that the Swiss Federer has been the number one player for the longest time, a total of 302 weeks straight! From this point of view, Djokovics, with 53 consecutive weeks of being on top is outshined by Nadal as well with his 124 weeks. In addition Federer has won 17 times in great tournaments, such as the Australian, French, English and American Open championships of the Grand Slam, while Nadal became champion 14 times and Djokovics 7 times. However, when playing against each other, Nadal has the most victories against both his rivals.
Thus, while we all root for our favourite, the only thing that can be ascertained is that Djokovics, Nadal and Federer are the greatest tennis stars of our time.
